The Toll of Life-Long Dieting

Raise your hand if you’ve lost a lifetime of mental energy to food fixation and dieting?

When entire days are wasted from counting, tracking and obsessing about what you’ll eat next.

When your day can easily be turned upside down by eating something “bad”.

When your self-value and "progress" is reflected by the weight on the scale.

When you go to the gym to “burn off” your food decisions, or better yet, make room for your unsupportive food decisions.

When micromanaging your food becomes your new “normal.” Just because something is normalized, doesn’t mean it’s normal.

When you’ve tried every diet under the sun and always fail because you’ve been told you are weak, undisciplined, or lack willpower.

When Mondays are revolved around executing a plan to “get back on track.”

There’s a lot to lose by living this life, it’s an emotional and mental ongoing battle.

There’s a mental toll. A price to pay.

Maybe not now, but there will be.
