Long time coming, but I just wrapped up my Strength Training for Women Specialist Certification. Man did that feel good! I started this cert over 6 months ago, but with a new baby and running a couple group coaching programs, it took a back seat.
If you want to work on building your body, not burning it down through chronic exercise and yo-yo dieting, let's chat. I offer customized strength training programs and nutritional guidance along the way for a one-time fee.
With that said, as I was chipping away at the curriculum, it suggested a little Spring-Cleaning exercise that I want to share with you.
This is a Spring Cleaning to rid your brain and environment of fussy diet and fitness culture bullshit that no longer serves you. ( PS. I hope you didn't actually think I was going to suggest a weird detox of lemon and celery juice. We don't do weird diet-y things in this space).

Social Media Purge: When is the last time you went through your social media and unfollowed, unliked, or de-friended the clutter and noise that makes you feel bad about yourself or fills you with negativity? Shame is not the same as inspiration, remember that. If your favorite fitness guru or influencer makes you feel shameful, or bad about yourself, that is NOT inspiring. Inspiration is filling your cup, motivating you from a place of respect and and fulfillment, not a place of shame. So, maybe you unfollow some folks, maybe you set a daily screen limit or pick one day a week that you completely avoid mindlessly scrolling. Whatever it is, get cleanin.'
Clothes Purge: "I think I will fit into this again, so I'll hold onto it." Maybe you will, maybe you won't. But right now, in this moment, that item is no longer serving you because it simply does not fit your current bod, get rid of it. This was HARD for me. My size is not the same after having Murray, and I was reluctant to get rid of my clothes because "I'll fit into them again." Maybe I will, maybe I won't, and that's fine, but a closet filled with clothes that aren't comfortable to wear is a mind fuck and makes you feel bad and why would you want to do that to yourself?
Pantry Purge: If you've done a RESET, you know this is the very first task we tackle because it's the most important. Setting your environment up for success is crucial. If you have foods around that don't support you, it's going to be an up hill battle. Whatever your trigger foods are, or foods that make you feel unwell, make a plan to get rid of them.
Happy detoxing gang!
